Monday: 2.36 miles (20 min, avg pace 8:29)

Tuesday: 3.63 miles (30:01 min, avg pace 8:16) + 0.12 miles walking (1:53 min, avg pace 15:49) = 3.75 miles

Wednesday: 5.38 miles (45 min, avg pace 8:21) + 0.18 miles walking (2:43 min, avg pace 15:05) = 5.56 miles

Thursday: 3.52 miles (30 min, avg pace 8:31) + 0.11 miles walking (1:46 min, avg pace 16:12) = 3.63 miles

Friday: 1.18 miles (10 min, avg pace 8:29) + 0.20 miles walking (3 min, avg pace 15:03) = 1.38 miles

  • Monday and Tuesday, when it hit single-digit temperatures here in Chicago, was easily the coldest I have ever run in. Ever. I used to run for the hills (aka the treadmill) whenever things got cold, or skipped my run entirely. I like this way much better, even though my toes were nearly frozen on Monday!
