Some fun facts:
- I got through the Florida Georgia Line CD 3.5 times.,
- I ate all of the candy in the bottom of my purse,
- I sang along to Madonna, Train, and Hootie and the Blowfish,
- I feel bad for emergency vehicles,
- I don't think the suburbs around my work own snow equipment,
- After 1.5 hours, when I wasn't even back in my own county, I briefly considered pulling my car to the side of the road and taking a nap in my backseat with the sleeping bag that's been in my trunk since last June,
- Oh and then about 2 hours into the commute, I started crying hysterically and hyperventilating. Because EVERY commute should come with a panic attack.
FUN TIMES, right? So when I am hungover and crabby at work tomorrow, you all know why. But that's even if I go to work... I feel like I've earned a day on the couch!
2. I would sell my soul to run a mile under 8:30 at some point this week. This snow is killing me. I feel so slow and disgusting, but I am working SO HARD and my legs are dead when I get done running. So I guess I'm still okay. I have a 10K on Sunday morning, so we'll see. I'm actually looking forward to the race - it has a Valentine's theme, and it's in the North Shore. PLUS, I get another MEDAL!

ReplyDeleteI hear ya on the snow and commute, my normal commute is pretty lengthy (about an hour) but in the snow it's always so much longer because people do not know how to drive.
So, have you done Egg Shell before? Is it a very busy race? I'm excited for it, sounds like a fun time!
I did the Egg Shell last year. It's a small race. The start was chaotic, but it cleared out after a couple of miles. I mostly ran alone.
Delete3 hours in your car! Ugh! There should be a law that anyone who drove to work can leave early if there is more than 1 inch of snow in the forecast. Wish I could take the train to work...
ReplyDeleteYeah they closed our building for the day at 3, but didn't send out an email until 3:30, so I left at my normal time. I wish my boss had let me leave 3 hours early today!
